Part Three: One Kiss
One story after another
Glass after glass of wine
Makes us laugh the night away
Her Girl Scout cookies days
Outweighs
My days dressing up as the red ranger
Where did you learn to cook like that?
My mom and grandma taught me everything. I just learned more along the way
Well, hide this recipe! It’s amazing
Thank you! It’s my “get a man dish!”
I finish my last glass of wine
And asked where the bathroom was
She pointed me in the direction
While getting up
I couldn’t help but notice that even
Dressed down
Her beauty presented itself
Front and center
Once in the bathroom
I washed my hands
And began hyping myself up
For the rest of the night
Whispering words of affirmation
Pretending to shadow box
My self esteemGiving it a one two jab
I didn’t want her to think
I was doing something I shouldn’t be
Finished up
And walked back to the living room
On the table
Sat two plates of pecan pie
She actually listened
Never
Has someone paid this
much attention
To my likes
So is this homemade as well?
Nope. Sara Lee
Love it! No worries. We can work on that!
Maybe…just maybe
We can work on that
Who says that on a second date
Like
Why imply that you want to “work” on something
After dessert, I noticed it was getting late
And I had a long day ahead of me
I got up and helped her with the dishes
Rinsing
Washing
Putting them awayI then grabbed my keys
And made my way to the door
She wasn’t too far behind
Date number two…in the books!
Yes it is. Hope you had a great time!
I did. Will stay in touch so we can cook dinner together!
Please do. I should have a pecan pie recipe by then!
We share one more laugh together
Which is followed by that
Awkward five minute stare
I go in for a hug
But
Instead
My mind says kiss
A long
Soft
Passionate
Kiss
