A story in the form of poetry Part One

Part One: We Meet

Tonight

I’m looking for her

We talked online

But tonight

We meet for the first time

I thought about her all day

What she was going to wear

What am I going to say

Will we click

Would the connection that we had on the phone still carry weight

I’m looking at my watch

Time flies by

And there she is

Black hair flowing down her back

Like a river rushing down a bend

Curves contoured perfectly in jeans

Teasing me

Needing me

Wanting me to take a bite

As she’s making her way over to me

My eyes seem to lock in

As if they are assigned

To guard the curvy asset

Hey

Hey, glad to see you found the placeYea, nice choice! Someone remembered

How could I forget our first conversation?

She laughs

I get lost in her smile

The waitress comes by

And we place our order

You look amazing!

Thank you. My friend helped me pick this out. I was super nervous

I ain’t gonna lie…I’m still nervous

Really?

Something about seeing her in person

Made me feel at ease

Yet her beauty caused those butterflies

To flutter even more

As the food comes out

My attention goes back to her mocha skin

Complexion rich and warm

Keeping me focused and not allowing me

To look away

So, am I making a good first impression?

Yes you are! I’m mesmerized by how beautiful you are

Stop! You’re going to make me blush

I’m serious! I’m glad that we connected.

I really was glad that we connected

I would have died if I missed

This opportunityThis chance

This meeting

Praying

That she will be an addition

And not a subtraction in this

Equation

We finish our food

I pay

But neither one of us

Wants to leave

Tonight was great!

I agree. Hopefully we can have a second date?

Of course! I would love a second date. Dinner at my place?

Sounds like a plan

A plan for forever

Is what I’m hoping for

A plan to keep this queen

In my kingdom

To help me reign over life

Tonight

I’m looking for her

And tonight…

I search no more
