Trust Me

I Know

I suck at life

No

Really

I suck at life

I mean I walk around

Constantly keeping an eye on my stomach

Because a bag

Dangling

Reminds me… shit happens

Literally

I get high

Everyday

High blood pressure

High sugar

High cholesterol

And somehow

I never get the munchies

My two feet

Are my mode of transportation

Causing me to still be low on gas

Craving for a fill up

Twenty on pump number me please

That should be enough to keep me going

Now

HealthTouched on that subject

Transportation

Traveled that road

Let’s see

Oh

My Love life

Met her

Dated her

Moved in with her

Different location almost every other year

But

Here comes the cocaine

Not literal

But the drug called unhappiness

Now

Don’t get it twisted

I was happy enough to make her my wife

Ummm…you know

Knock her up for rated PG readers

And have a daughter

But before this I felt something

Was different

Another version of this

Is floating somewhere

Instagram

FacebookTikTok

But I believe bits and pieces are being fed

On a plate to some

Yes

I was unfaithful

And I’m not proud of it

At the same time however

I was not happy

About my relationship

My life

Myself

So when others gave me the

“You deserve this”

“ I could do that”

I fed into that emotion of being wanted

And gravitated away

I spoke with therapist after therapist

Only one…validated my feelings

Brought up a plan

Gave me purpose

And was willing to listen

That person is no longer my therapist

Get this

I feel

Like since I stopped speaking with her

Things were on a roller coasterRide

Heading on the last drop

Letting everyone off

Leaving me alone

With my thoughts

The voices in my head

Which led me

To write them down

And turn them into poetry

I…Like you

Turned first page

Meaning

You’re starting this journey

Hoping to find some peace

Using words

As a form of therapy

As if they are a person

With a Ph.D

Documenting details

Prescribing

Personification

Alliteration

Similes

To help you understand along the way

Trust me

It gets better from hereYou’ll see how words

Healed me

Gave me grace

Allowing me to clear my thoughts

Bringing me back to life

Removing the dirt from my

Shallow grave

Once again

Things will get better

Your journey

Has truly started
